About Me

Hi!

My name is Cathy Roldan, I was born in California, but I grew up in Guatemala. In 2015 I moved back by myself to the United States with the purpose of finding new opportunities, however, things were not as easy as I thought. I worked as a nanny for a long time until I was given the opportunity to work as a receptionist at a CPA office. I was promoted very soon to a different position as an administrative assistant.

In 2017 I got married and in 2018 we had our first child, since then I decided to stay at home with my baby. I started a network marketing business and for 3 years I partner up with a company that allowed me to work from home using my cell phone and social networks.

In 2019 we moved to another state, we started from scratch without having friends or family nearby. My husband found work immediately and continued to work in the same industry. Even though it was a radical change, it was the best decision we've ever made as a family.

2020 was undoubtedly a year of very good things for our family despite the fact that we were living through a global pandemic. Our second daughter was born and a month later we moved into our first house of our own.

In 2021 we again made a decision that has changed our lives. We decided that my husband would quit his job and start a business of his own. In 2022 our new company was very successful, giving my husband the possibility to no longer work every day from 8 to 5 and have more time with his family. Since then, we both have that freedom of time.

I continue to grow in my personal life, I am currently studying a degree in business administration focused on entrepreneurship. I work from home managing the administrative part of our family business and I also create digital content.

Among my favorite things to do, traveling is one of them, visiting new places and venturing into all kinds of places. I love getting to know different cultures and tasting their food. Also, one of the activities I enjoy doing the most is volunteering. I started volunteering at age 17 in Guatemala, currently volunteering at Ronald McDonald's House and St. Lukes Hospital.

I have started my "Bucket List" in 2023, which means: My last wish list or to-do list before I die. No, I'm not going to die anytime soon! At least, I don't know yet. However, I want to live my life as if today is the last day and have as many experiences as possible.  I want to fulfill all my dreams and repeat the dreams I have had in different circumstances and with different people as many times as I can, to keep as many memories and moments lived.

In this space I will share my experiences and you can find ideas, travel tips, entrepreneurship, stories and anecdotes of the dreams that are fulfilled from my bucket list.

I hope you like it and stay me in all our adventures!
